Hunter and I have been hanging out on maintenance nights getting to know each other and enjoying chit-chat over snacks afterward. Since we’re more or less at the same stage in our training we decided to start flying together to gain more experience and for just plain fun. It’s a lot more fun flying with someone else, and it’s nice when that person is also a pilot and can appreciate all of the details of each flight.
We planned a short trip to Richmond County (RZZ) this afternoon. Since Hunter isn’t night current, he flew there during the daylight and I flew back at night. It got dark just as we arrived at RZZ. It was a short flight, but an excellent first experience with another pilot. It was helpful to see all of the details he’d been taught and learn from each other. I look forward to many more flights like this as we build time and enjoy flying.
