A club friend and I planned a flight to Charleston, SC and up the SC/NC coast to Ocean Isle and back to Sanford for today. By all land-based accounts it was a beautiful day. However, the crosswinds at all of our destinations were forecast to be well over our comfort level and pushing the limits of our tiny airplane. It was a huge disappointment, but we had to cancel. We’ll try again someday.
